About KIRSTEN LAWLOR
“If I hadn’t grown up to be a recruiter, I’d probably be a yenta or a matchmaker,” she laughs. “It’s all about developing relationships.”
For the past 15 years, Kirsten Lawlor has successfully matched client teams from small start-ups and Fortune 250 companies, with candidates in C-level, as well as finance, sales, marketing, and technical positions. “It’s so much fun getting to know the candidates and the client teams. They all have a story to tell,” Kirsten says. “When you listen to their stories, you can find the right people. When you have the right people in place, it allows the organization to grow, learn and be successful.”
Kirsten has a unique insight into the hiring process from both the corporate and agency sides, with global experience in both HR and recruiting. She truly gets into the DNA of each organization, accurately assessing their needs and managing the overall hiring process.
Before coming to Dynamo, Kirsten was Director of Global Recruitment and Human Resources at Corbis, where she conceived, developed and implemented new global recruiting strategies. Her work at Corbis resulted in new practices, which decreased time to hire, cost per hire, while increasing the overall quality of hires. She mentored regional recruiting managers, and managed the Americas HR and Global Recruitment teams.
Prior to Corbis, Kirsten was a recruiting manager for Cendant / Orbitz / Travelport, where she was responsible for recruitment for an entire division. Working with senior management, she helped align the company’s organizational structure with the corporate mission. She oversaw the implementation of the company’s recruiting software, and played a key role in the mergers and acquisitions activity and integration with Orbitz.
When she's not corporate matchmaking, the Seattle native can generally be found on soccer pitches throughout the Puget Sound, cheering on daughter Reese with husband Rick, their son Tate, and Truman, their 180-pound mastiff puppy.
